Nova Order Verify sends WhatsApp messages only to customers who have actively opted in. Consent is collected at the point of order on the merchant's store: the customer ticks an unchecked checkbox with clear text such as "I agree to receive WhatsApp order-confirmation messages about my order from [Store Name]." The opt-in names the store the customer is buying from, specifically states that messages will be received via WhatsApp, and discloses that these are transactional order-confirmation (utility) messages. We do not rely on pre-checked boxes, implied consent from accepting terms, or assumed consent from making a purchase, and phone numbers collected for other channels are never reused for WhatsApp without fresh, WhatsApp-specific consent. For every opt-in, we retain a consent record (timestamp, phone number, source, and consent text) as proof. Customers can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; opt-outs are processed automatically and honored on all future messages. Each merchant is responsible for obtaining valid opt-in from their own customers, and Nova requires this as a condition of using the service.
